KEISHA OWENS
We are motivated by Christ’s instruction to feed the lambs and provide for the needs of children in fellowship, worship, stewardship, and outreach. We provide children with the opportunity to worship in an age-appropriate setting, learning at their level of understanding, and giving them the opportunity to participate in worship as well as involving children in serving others. In Children’s church we incorporate all the elements of regular worship such as praise, prayer, sharing or testimony, studying the Bible, a children’s sermon, and drama or skits that apply the Word to everyday life.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6; NKJV)

To be the visible hands of our church in the community promoting a safe and healthy community by addressing hunger, health and responding to needs and providing services to our community in Christ’s name.
We serve by
• Feeding the hungry
• Promoting a healthy community
• Sharing valuable information on community resources
• Helping to keep our community clean
Through these efforts, we embody the love and compassion of Christ and make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he lent. Proverbs 9:17
We mobilize resources, information, form community partnerships, and work with other church departments to respond to community needs in a timely manner. Our major community partners are the Treasure Coast Food Bank, St Lucie Faith Leaders Round Table, The Council on Social Agencies, Healthy St Lucie, and the City of Port St Lucie. We work with our community partners to help individuals and families with information and resources to address issues such as hunger, disaster relief, housing, homelessness, health, mental health, and assistance for seniors.
Our pantry is an agency of the Treasure Coast Food Bank. We operate as a “choice pantry” because we believe that giving people the opportunity to choose their own food instead of receiving a prepackaged box gives them a greater sense of dignity.
We are open 2nd, 4th Wednesdays, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
We offer fresh produce, staple food items, and grocery items. Registration is free. No ID or proof of income is required.
(For pantry and community services only. We will have to ensure that the Advent Giving website has a line for pantry & Community services)

The mission of the Education Department is to equip church members and the community with spiritual and practical knowledge rooted in God’s Word. We seek to intentionally foster a deeper understanding of Scripture, nurture faith, and empower individuals to live purposefully in alignment with Christian principles. Through teaching, mentorship, and community outreach, we aim to inspire lifelong learning and cultivate a foundation of wisdom and spiritual growth for all.
Bible Verse Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

At the Family Life Ministry of the First Port St Lucie SDA Church, we emphasize that as Christ is the Head of the Church, He is also the Head of every home. Recognizing the central role that families play in church and wider community, we work to foster wholeness in families and strengthen marriage and families. We work to facilitate closeness and reconciliation in families and provide support for those who are broken and hurt. We strive to provide opportunities for families to build stronger relationships through education, enrichment programs and disciple stronger families into themselves being disciples for Christ.
